Free Agent Tryout Overview

The NKS Free Agent Camp is a limited tryout for placekickers, punters and long snappers who believe they may possess professional potential. It is not a "mass" tryout with other positions included. Players will be evaluated by the NKS staff who are all well respected kicking and special teams coaches with years of experience. It is not only an opportunity for potential pro prospects to showcase their talents, but also receive honest, expert evaluation and coaching expertise. The NKS staff thoroughly comprehends the free agent process for kickers and punters and the desire for players to fulfill their potential and receive maximum exposure.

Who is eligible to attend the NKS Free Agent Camp?
The tryout is for professional football placekicking, punting and long snapping prospects, age 19 years or older, who have no college eligibility remaining, and have not been drafted by any professional team.

Tryout Description
  • Placekickers will be evaluated on kickoffs and field goals. Each player will hit 5 kickoffs for hang time and distance. The field goal evaluation will consist of 10 FG attempts from 30 to 57 yards.
  • Punters will be evaluated on distance, hang time, accuracy and get away time (hand to foot speed) on a total of 10 punts.
  • Placekickers, punters and long snappers who exhibit professional potential may be included in further testing. Final pro prospect evaluations will be forwarded to all NFL, CFL, and Arena Football League teams with our recommendations as well as being posted on the NKS pro prospect website, www.KickPunt.com.
  • All participants will receive a written evaluation and a copy of their test results.

No guarantee - NKS cannot guarantee participants a contract or invited tryout with any professional team. We do guarantee that all players will be fully and fairly evaluated based on their performance.
